There are 27 nakshatras (stars) in Vedic Jyotish (astrology), out of them the 6 nakshartas are Gund Moola, these are Ashwani, Ashlesha, Magha, Jyesth, Moola and Revti. These nakshatras are ruled by Mercury and Ketu. If one of these nakshatras appears in the Janm-Kundli of a child then the child is regarded as born in Gand Moola Nakshatras. According to Jyotish it is inauspicious for a child born in any of these nakshatras and child id know to experience various obstacles and adverse problems of life. Therefore, it is advised to have a puja performed whenever the same nakshatra comes.
